Greater Bronson Area Chamber of Commerce

Thank you for visiting our site! We hope you will find all of the information on our site helpful. Let us tell you about Bronson...

The town of Bronson is located in north central Florida, approximately 31 miles northeast of Cedar Key and is the home of the Goethe State Forest, Black Prong Equestrian Center, Blue Springs, and Devil's Hammock.

Bronson is approximately 23 miles SW of Gainesville, Florida. The population within the city limits is approximately 1,050; however, when adding those in the outlying areas, there are over 3,000 residents.

Primarily an agricultural and rural area, Bronson is the county seat of Levy and hosts the majority of the county offices. Only minutes from Manatee Springs State Park in Chiefland and Fanning Springs Recreation Park, Bronson is also central to the historic towns of, Williston and Archer.

Along with the county offices and the historic courthouse are the sheriff, health and fire departments. Bronson is serviced by three weekly newspapers: the Levy County Journal, the Williston Pioneer and the Chiefland Citizen; while the Levy County Journal has an office centrally located in Bronson. There are also banks, churches,  restaurants, gas stations, a library, a grocery, a post office, a town park and numerous businesses offering many products and services that benefit the residents and the community.

If country living and a small town atmosphere is your fancy, if you seek beautiful forests, rolling pastures, environmentally pristine woodlands, horse back riding, equestrian & rodeo activity, hiking, fishing and country living, Bronson is the place to enjoy it all!
